Excerpt From The Novel / An American Romance By John Lars Zwerenz

Lawrence took Renee's hand in his as he walked her the little way to his car and Renee did not mind.  She found his hand to be soft, firm and warm and already a profound romantic feeling was bubbling up within her heart.  Lawrence felt like a god, holding his fair maiden's hand as some snowflakes fell upon her long, gray coat.

In holding one another's hand for the first time they felt a mighty stream of energy pass through their bodies.  It was if a powerful yet tender symphony passed through their spirits and united them in a manner they both found ineffably lovely.   Renee's long, ebony hair caught each snowflake as though she owned the very atmosphere in which they walked.  Lawrence beheld this effect, and could not help but stare at her fair, pristine face.  Overcome with emotion, Lawrence wrapped his arms around Renee and kissed her on the lips.amazon.com
